Aurum Recuperatio

A companion for return

This handbook is a structured room of return. It does not replace therapy, medical care, AA, sponsorship, or professional support. It is a companion for the journey toward coherent living.

Recovery, in Aurum’s understanding, is not simply the removal of a substance or behavior. It is the long, patient, honest work of closing the gap — of making the inner and outer life more true to one another. Substances and compulsions often manage that gap. They provide a false coherence. Aurum asks for a real one.

The aim of Aurum is not to become impressive. The aim is to become coherent.

Recovery principles

  • Truthful inventory as ongoing practice, not one-time event.
  • Body and environment as active support systems, not passive containers.
  • Ritualized return after rupture — rebeginning is not failure.
  • Clean thresholds — the clear marking of what is no longer permitted.
  • Dignified self-presentation without vanity — the outside supporting the inside.
  • Service as the proof that refinement has become real.
  • Sponsorship, mentoring, and table-based witness as transmission.

If you have drifted

Not: Why did you fail? What does the return require?

  1. Breathe. Return to the body. You are still here.
  2. Name what happened — once, clearly, without performance or shame.
  3. Contact one person you trust.
  4. Contact appropriate professional or recovery support.
  5. Choose one structural repair for the next 24 hours.
  6. Do not try to rebuild everything at once. Build the next vessel.

The gold is not in the collapse. The gold is in the return.

If you are in immediate danger or considering harming yourself, this House is not enough. Contact local emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Aurum is with you on the path — not instead of the help you need.

Walk the Coherence Audit and the practice room as companions to — never replacements for — meetings, sponsorship, and care.
